The ever wonderful Hazel Gap Barn with the even more ever wonderful Kelly & Scott!

This Venue. It was my first time shooting a wedding at Hazel Gap Barn and I could go on for days about this place. It's been top of my very coveted "top places I'd like to go when other people pay me to bring my camera and take pretty photos" for YEARS. The barn itself is beautiful, with gorgeous light coming in from the huge barn doors either side. The other rooms at this venue, which you'll see more of later in this post, are just as beautiful and that's not to even mention the grounds!

Truly truly stunning place that I hope to see more of in the coming years!

I had the honour of getting to work alongside the wonderful Jamie from The Social Wedding for this day who was an absolute dream to work with so if you're looking for a content creator go hire her now! Please.

Kelly secretly recorded a message to Scott to be played just before she walked down the aisle with her Mum. They also had their lovely daughter as flower girl who read a poem during the ceremony. I can't remember the words but I do remember almost tearing up myself and vaguely remembering I was supposed to be taking photos and not crying in the corner...

The lovely Xanthe Jenks was hired to sing them down the aisle (and back up the aisle!).

The styling for this day was done by The Wedding Collection. They no longer style other venues but if you're looking to get married at The Pumping House, another gorgeous Nottinghamshire venue, then please do check them out. A prettier table scape I never did see. Dove & Lace created Kelly and Scotts stationary and also the beautiful fabric signs you can see below. And can we also just take a moment for that incredible October sunshine coming in through the windows?!

The cake was done by Scott's father and apparenly caused it's fair amount of stress but how beautiful please??

Get yourselves a bridal party like this one. That's all. They went with all my silly little requests and, I hope, had a pretty good timing doing them!

There is a never ending list of beautiful backdrops for couple portraits at Hazel Gap Barn, a photographers absolute dreeeeeam. Below are all the wonderful supplies that made them look this GOOD.

Dress: A Madi Lane Bridal number bought from Bellamme Bridal in Lincoln

Suit: A tailor made from a shop that I can't remember (sorry)

Florist: The incredibly stunning bouquets were made by Peonies & Plumes

Shoes:  Badgley Mischka, although you can't see them here I can guarantee you they were INCREDIBLE

Hair: The lovely Robyn at Perfect Silhouette Hairdressing

MUA: Hayley Louise Beauty made the girls look amazing, not that they needed all that much help honestly!

The reception space at Hazel Gap Barn is BEAUTIFUL. Even in the darker months the lighting used inside this space creates a lovely cosy atmosphere. Also I'm aware almost none of you will care, but for the photographers who may be reading this - even the fire exit signs are pretty. No word of a lie. You won't be spending hours editing out any garish green lights from this venue!

A S'MORE TABLE. Need I say more? Who doesn't want chocolate, biscuits and marshmallows? This has got to be one of my all time favourite ideas I've seen at a wedding. Clearly the way to my heart is via sugar...

Speeches! One of my favourite times during a wedding to get candids of your guests having a whale of a time and these speeches did not dissappoint.

We got not only a first dance on this day but a mother/daughter dance too! With special appearances from daughter and grandma which was super lovely. Give me any sort of adorable family moment and I'm a bit of a mess, as we've alrady established.

Kelly and Scott hired The Cave, an amazing folk inspired 4-piece band to perform "Still Into You" by Paramore which turns out to be quite the popular song choice as another one of my couples chose it too!

Daaaaaarncing! I'll let the photos speak for themselves, I think they had a great time don't you?

"Omg Heather I am OBSESSED!!!! They are honestly absolutely incredible! Thank you so so so much!! You're the best!"
